David Neale
The "Jazz Rascals" had a good friend in "John
Newell". John was their
instrument repair guy. He sold David the sousaphone that he plays, and
sold Ben a baritone horn. John also did any repairs needed. He was and
is a valuable resource for a busy musician. In this picture they go to
John's shop where he is having an open house for customers. The guys
played some tunes and John "sat in" for a couple. John is an
accomplished musician himself and doubled that day as chef for the open
house as you can see by the musical apron that he is wearing!
